Rochester is a small town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts Back in the 1600s, Rochester was inhabited by the local Wampanoags, called Sippican, by Buzzards Bay. It was named Rochester by the English settlers who came in 1686 in memory of Rochester, England and became a successful town through shipbuilding and whaling. As a small town with lots of young families with children and a comfortable income level, there are many opportunities for activity and recreation within Rochester.
